A unit was sold and the former owner still owes money.

We have a function to do it automatically. 

 

Use Info >Unit Sale
Select the date at which the sale occurs
Choose the owner selling his unit
oType name of the new owner
oThe account number for the new owner will be generated
You could change it but we recommend you let the system do the job for you
If there is a balance, Condo Manager will create a new receivable account for the Ex-owner
oWithin the series for receivables other than owners
It will transfer the amount due there
It will keep the appropriate information (presuming the new owner will be the occupant, otherwise your could change the address later on)
All accounting transactions will be done and all information for the receivables (new owner and ex-owner receivable accounts).
The only thing you will have to do after is to return into the new owner's profile and complete the information, like phone numbers, email addresses, etc.
